At the 1st Primary School of Peristeri, the president of SYRIZA-PS Alexis Tsipras exercised his right to vote. After greeting the members of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Tsipras entered the screen to choose the ballot.

“In today’s final and critical showdown with the enhanced proportional system that gives 50 bonus seats to the first party, it will be decided who and how will govern the next day. In other words, our lives are being judged in the next four years, but the quality of the Democracy is also being judged. It is being judged whether the next day we will have an uncontrollable government or balance in the Democracy and in our political system. If we will have a strong opposition to control the government,” he told reporters immediately after the vote.

“SYRIZA – PS is the only force that can reliably play this role, support the needs of society, represent the social majority and also play a balancing role in the political system and the Democracy. A strong SYRIZA means a strong society and a healthy Democracy tomorrow,” he added.
