Erdogan-Stoltenberg phone call on Russia, Sweden and F-16

Meanwhile, there was communication between Erdogan and Stoltenberg with the Turkish president calling the NATO chief.

In this communication he emphasized that: “You have wronged us with the F-35 and now they are trying to link the F-16 with the integration of Sweden. It’s not a loss for Turkey, but a big loss for NATO’s security.”

This shows that Turkey continues to take a tough stance, while stressing that Sweden is not yet ready to join NATO.

Turkish media: The Turkish fighter will fly at the end of 2023

At the same time, Turkish media continues to analyze the national fighter Kaan, which is expected to fly at the end of 2023. Analysts comment that “it will be invisible on radars”.

As “Haber Global” reported in its report: “One by one, the dreams that exist for Turkey’s defense industry are coming true. The Kaan national fighter will make its first flight at the end of 2023, that is, on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic. In other words, the countdown has begun.”

Haidar Gulpinar, aircraft engineer emphasizes: “A 5th generation fighter means it is invisible to radars. Locating this fighter will not be easy. Its geometric design does that but you’ll also see here on the sides here in these ‘nests’ will be the weapon systems. Because the weapons will be in here there will be no radar detection.”
