In the next period, the parties will make an analytical “fund” and study what went well and what did not in the last election.

The rallies achieved in June relative to May 21 are indicative of the final result, according to Sunday’s exit poll. New Democracy reached 91.7%, SYRIZA 83.8%, PASOK 85.7% and KKE 82.8%. High numbers which, however, were approximately at the same levels and therefore the changes between the two polls were small.

The outflows of the blue faction were not significant. Only 1.1% went to SYRIZA and the Hellenic Solution, while to PASOK and the Spartans the losses were 1.9% and 1.8% respectively. For Koumoundourou, 3.1% of its voters went to New Democracy and PASOK, 1.9% to KKE and 1.8% went to PLESIS ELEFTHERIAS. PASOK had leaks towards SYRIZA with 3.2% leaving Harilaou Trikoupi for Koumoundourou, while 3.4% ended up in the ruling faction. 2.1% chose PLESI ELEFTHERIAS and 1.7% the KKE.

Perissos seems to have suffered the biggest losses, losing 5.3% of voters to SYRIZA. 1.3% went to New Democracy and Hellenic Solution and 2.1% to the party of Zoi Konstantopoulou.

The smaller parties functioned as “communicating vessels” with the Hellenic Solution losing 15.8% of its strength to the Spartans. NIKI to the same party, which did not participate in the May elections, registered a leak that reached 15.5%. Even from the FLOW OF FREEDOM a percentage of 10.2% went to the party of Vassilis Stigas supported by Ilias Kasidiaris. Possibly, according to the manager of Pulse, Giorgos Arapoglou, these are voters of the “Greeks” who ultimately did not go to the elections. They split into other parties in the May elections and in June they finally found “political shelter” in the Spartans.

All the elements of the exit polls are of particular interest and crystallize the way the final result was formed. In addition to the above measurements, those who decided what to vote for at the last moment belong: by 20% to New Democracy, 15.6% to SYRIZA, 12.1% to PASOK, 8.6% to the KKE, 9.6% to the Spartans, 7 .4% in VICTORY, 5.5% in the Hellenic Solution and 7% in the SHIP OF FREEDOM. The exit polls were not refuted, as the data of the research companies showed that only 5.9% decided which party they will support on Sunday and another 5.9% a few days before. The May ballot may have tired and significantly increased abstention (the highest in the post-colonial period with 47.16%), but the electorate appeared more ready in relation to its vote.

SYRIZA did not manage to recover as, in addition to the abstention and interest of its own voters – which had been lost due to the bad result of May 21 – it did not improve the percentages among “its” audience, which are the young people. Those aged 17-34 voted for New Democracy at a rate of 28.1% and SYRIZA at 20%.

They are followed by: PASOK 9.9%, KKE 8.7%, Spartans 8.1%, NIKI 4.3%, Hellenic Solution 3%, FREEDOM SHIP 5.2%. In older ages, the difference between Piraeus and Koumoundourou was even greater. 35-54 years old (39%-16.5%), 55+ (47.1%-18%). In other words, the official opposition did not manage to restore its relationship neither with the middle class, which had broken up in the 2015-2019 period, nor with the pensioners.
