The former member of parliament, Sofia Sakorafa, announced her departure from MERA25.

In her post on twitter, she states that she made the decision when she was informed that the secretary of the party, Yanis Varoufakis, proposed to the Ethics Committee her deletion.

“I just came back after the meeting of MeRA25’s Central Committee and I was informed that on the party’s website there is a post entitled ‘Zero tolerance for oligarchy and entanglement: G. Varoufakis proposes the deletion of Sofia Sakorafa from MeRA25.’

I am impressed (?) by the fact that they did not have the courage to make any relevant reference either to the body or to me personally during the 12-hour meeting of the KE.

Everyone with their buoy and their shadow.

Obviously, there is no reason for your Ethics & Compliance Committee to deal with me, as a representative of “oligarchy and entanglement”.

I disqualify myself for any answer or comment, I release you from the process and I leave MeRA 25″.

Earlier, Yanis Varoufakis had tweeted in which he wrote: “We have just proposed, with Cleonas Grigoriadis and Litsa Alexakis, to the Ethics Committee the deletion of Sofia Sakorafa. Zero Tolerance for Oligarchy & Complicity starts at home. MeRA25. The party that does not hesitate to mess with the powerful, regardless of the cost.”
