ND, PASOK, Spartans, Niki and Freedom Sailing give a positive vote to the Interior Ministry’s bill for the vote of Greek expatriates without restrictions – The required consensus seems to be forming
“Today is a historic day as it seems that the required consensus is being formed”, said the Minister of the Interior, Niki Kerameos, after the positions of the rapporteurs and special buyers of the parties on the principle of the draft law “Limiting the restrictions for the registration in the special electoral lists of foreign voters” to the Public Administration, Public Order and Justice Committee of the Parliament.
Mrs. Kerameos, with her intervention, commented that from the “positive attitude of the ND, PASOK, Spartans, Niki and Plefsis Eleftherias parties in the bill, the increased majority of the 200 deputies seems to be forming for the law to come into effect. It is a historic day for Greece. We want to thank all parties very much for this. We will be here to have a thorough discussion. I consider it of great importance on this day, with the formation of this parliamentary term, that there is a historic consensus and we thank the parties for this cooperation”.
