The versatile health center in New Kallikrateia, Halkidiki was visited in the morning by the President of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis.

In his statements immediately afterwards, Mr. Androulakis noted, among other things: “I find it unimaginable that one of the most touristic prefectures of mainland Greece, with very long kilometers, has only five permanent ambulances.

Until the end of the year, our country is given the opportunity to redirect resources from the Recovery Fund.

The government should immediately follow our proposal. To give a larger part of the Recovery Fund for the strengthening – upgrading of the National Health System and the EKAB. To meet the needs, which unfortunately are tragically highlighted every day throughout the country and especially in areas where the population increases dramatically during the summer months.

We will be by your side. We are the faction that envisioned the National Health System. We want permanent staff in hospitals. We want strong primary health care networks across the country. And, of course, join the heavy and unhealthy, because it’s a matter of justice. It is a reasonable request and should be granted. The country’s needs in the health sector have grown rapidly, as in education. For us, the priority is for the welfare state to create a safety net for citizens. That is why we are here today, to listen to you and through our parliamentary action to support the needs of Halkidiki”.
