“For two days now, Greece has been shocked by the brutal murder in New Philadelphia, but the Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Mitsotakis, remains missing”, underlines SYRIZA-PS in a statement.

“He couldn’t find a single word to say about the shocking things that have happened. For the fact that 200 neo-Nazi hooligans from Croatia walked in and crossed half the country unmolested and murdered a young man. For the revelations that the Greek authorities had been informed of the danger in time and did nothing. For the unprecedented fiasco that inflates citizens’ sense of insecurity and exposes the country internationally”, he notes and continues:

“While he pretends to be relentless on the issue of political responsibility, he tolerates and supports the Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Oikonomou, who bears enormous objective and substantial responsibilities.”

“Once again, Mr. Mitsotakis proves to be inferior to the circumstances. He chooses for himself the “safety” of silence, which his communicators suggest to him, at a time when an entire society is sinking into insecurity”, concludes SYRIZA-PS.
