Once again, Mr. Mitsotakis appears inferior to the circumstances and prefers communication exclusively, reports SYRIZA
“After ten days of silence for the brutal murder of Michalis Katsouris in New Philadelphia, Mr. Mitsotakis appeared today without a trace of self-criticism”, reports SYRIZA, commenting on the Prime Minister’s statements.
Specifically, SYRIZA adds: “He simply called “operational failures” an unprecedented fiasco, underestimating the fact that 200 neo-Nazi hooligans from Croatia entered and crossed unmolested half of the country to Athens with a tragic ending in the murder of a young man.”
Regarding the measures announced by the prime minister, SYRIZA argues: “He was content with the announcement of measures he already announced in February 2022 after the murder of Alkis Kampanos, such as the closing of fan clubs, and measures inside stadiums, ignoring that the tragic event in New Philadelphia happened off the field the day before the game.”
Generalizing, he notes: “As if he hadn’t ruled the previous four years, he declared that he would dissolve the pathogens. Without any inclination to assume political responsibility, he insists on keeping his position and supporting the Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Economos. Once again, Mr. Mitsotakis appears inferior to the circumstances and exclusively prefers communication. With his attitude, he inflates society’s feeling of insecurity.”
