Today, at 5:00 p.m., the Parliamentary Group of the “Spartans” is going to meet in an attempt to resolve the problems that were caused on July 27, when nine of the twelve MPs of the party made a joint written statement against the president of the party, Vassilis Stiga, for what he said about the MP of Larissa, Konstantinos Floros, when the latter supported the candidacy of Ilias Kasidiaris for the Municipality of Athens.

It is noted, however, that the “Spartians” announced yesterday (Sunday) that they support the candidacy of Ilias Kasidiaris, for the Municipality of Athens.

In particular, they state, among other things, in their announcement: “Under the current circumstances, the candidacy of the combination “Free Athenians”, led by Ilias Kasidiaris, could be an embankment in the disastrous course of the Municipal Authority of the New Democracy in Athens. Although with Mr. Kasidiaris, we have several and different ideological-practical approaches, nevertheless his candidacy is appropriate in order to finally stop the downward spiral of the Municipality of Athens under the administration of Kostas Bakoyannis”.
