“The position of responsibility allowance is increased by approximately 30%. This is because their role in the proper functioning of the public sector is of crucial importance. We are introducing incentives to increase productivity in the public sector,” Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameos told SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Autias.

Regarding the productivity bonus, Ms. Kerameos clarified that “at the center is the citizen, how will we achieve the best service for the citizen. That’s why we introduce goals, there is the target setting, the evaluation, the productivity bonus to make public servants constantly better and ultimately to provide better and better services to the citizens”.

Referring to the new identity, the Minister of the Interior emphasized that “the new identity takes the security of the country to another level, it raises the security of the country. It is now an easy-to-use tool for all citizens and in a few weeks the application process for the new IDs will begin. Very important steps have been taken by the Ministers of Citizen Protection”.

Regarding the recruitments in the public sector, Ms. Kerameos noted that they are done continuously, in the 1:1 rule. Last year we had about 16 thousand departures and this means that we can make 16 thousand recruitments. How we will make these recruitments, which we will give weight to, is up to the government. Too much weight has been given to the health sector. It has been decided by the government and by the Prime Minister himself to give special importance to health. Of the 16 thousand recruitments, the lion’s share will be given to health. So, special emphasis on health in which we have identified needs.
