Bulgaria participates this year as an Honored Country
The 87th TEF comes this year from September 9 to 17 and alongside its purely exhibition part, it has a multi-dimensional program of events. Culture, economy, society, technology and sports are at the center of a rich program of events that it will host this year Bulgaria participates this year as an Honored Country. During the 87th TIF, visitors to the pavilion of the Honored Country, Bulgaria, will have the opportunity to attend a multi-thematic program such as the presentation of the Supercomputer, a world-class petascale computer, demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies in pharmaceuticals, robotics and virtual reality, but also educational actions for the new STEM learning methods.
Also, young and old will be able to take part in demonstrations and craft workshops for illustration in glass, fabric and ceramics from the School of Applied Arts of Sofia, Sliven and Tryavna. Among others, visitors to the Bulgarian pavilion will have the opportunity to enjoy: the string quartet of the Sofia Philharmonic, the Frosch string quartet, the jazz band of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigeroc”, the famous Ballet Arabesque, puppet show from the National Academy of Theater and Film (NAFTA), CSKA Sports Club acrobatics, children’s band with bagpipes, live traditional music and traditional dance demonstrations.
On Monday, September 11 will be organized Greece-Bulgaria meeting at the “Ioannis Vellidis” Conference Center with the aim of highlighting and expanding the geopolitical and economic relations of the two countries.
The Conference on the Management of Natural Disasters entitled “Protecting Life-Building Resilience”, an Economist organization in collaboration with TIF-HELEXPO, is another standout event of the 87th TIF. It will take place on Wednesday, September 13 at the “Ioannis Vellidis” Conference Center.
Another interesting event of this year’s event is the exhibition “Thessaloniki through the collections”, which hosts the collections of well-known collectors on the theme of Thessaloniki and its monuments, is organized by TIF- HELEXPO in collaboration with the company MC Salonica and will is open to the public throughout the 87th TIF at the Nations Pavilion (6). In the same pavilion, the last four days of the 87th TIF (September 14-17) will be organized the 2nd Collecting EXPO 2023 by TIF-HELEXPO in collaboration with the company MC Salonica with the object of exchanging and promoting collections and objects from traders and collectors.
And Sports however, he is “present” at the 87th TIF. From September 11 to 15, the “TIF 5X5 Football Tournament” will be organized with the message “No to violence” with 5X5 football matches every day on a field that will be set up inside the TIF. The tournament includes matches between Academies of Thessaloniki with children aged 8-12, matches between journalists and artists, directors, operators of Thessaloniki, matches of veteran footballers of the Thessaloniki teams (PAOK-Aris-Iraklis-Apollon Kalamaria), children’s matches for girls, aged 12-15, from teams and Academies of Thessaloniki and executive-team competitions from large companies, but also organizations that take part in the TIF.
The 87th TIF includes dozens more interesting, entertaining and educational events and invites the public to discover them.
