The fire in Evros continues to burn for the 15th day having so far caused incalculable destruction to the flora and fauna of the area. Since this morning, the firefighting forces are concentrating their efforts on the front north of Soufli. However, early in the afternoon the fire suddenly grew again in the “Hot Waters” area of Phylaktos near the village of Lefkimmi.
According to evros-news, a corral has already burned and the fire is moving towards the village and the camp of the 7th Brigade. The mobilization by the Fire Brigade and the Army is great, because strong winds are blowing at the site. Unfortunately, along with the corral, the livestock of the breeder that were inside were also burned.
The fire broke out in an area that had been affected by the fire in the previous days, when it had then approached very close to Lefkimmi.
