Today, PASOK is celebrating its 49th anniversary and the central theme of the events is climate change, after this summer’s devastating fires.

This year’s events start in the afternoon at 18:00 in the Zappeion peristyle where an open discussion will take place on the topic “Contemporary challenges: Climate change, natural disasters and sustainable development”.

Speakers will be Harry Doukasprofessor of energy and environmental policy at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA and candidate for mayor of Athens, the Michalis Chalarissecretary of the Civil Protection Department of PASOK-Movement of Change, n Evanthia Sismanoglou Project Manager at the company EV Loader (startup for electric vehicles) and o George Karamanolisconsultant for Digital Governance, Innovation & Technology, coordinator of the Digital Society action.

The debate is moderated by the journalist Andreas Papadopoulos.

His political speech is expected at 20:00 in the forecourt of Zappeion Nikos Androulakis.

In the context of the festival atmosphere that prevailed during the September 3rd celebrations last year, a concert will follow with Laki Papadopoulos, Nikos Ziogala and Yiannis Yokarini.
