Developments in the Cyprus issue, bilateral relations between Cyprus and Israel, energy issues, regional developments, as well as EU-Israel relations, are going to be at the center of the meeting between the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, the who arrives in Cyprus today.

The meeting of the two leaders, which will take place at around 5 pm, at the Presidential Palace, is a continuation of the visit of President Christodoulides to Israel, last May, while at the same time it precedes the Tripartite Summit of Cyprus, Greece, Israel that will take place tomorrow Monday, September 4, in Nicosia, with the participation of the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The Cypriot president will welcome Mr. Netanyahu to the presidential palace in Nicosia and after the official welcome ceremony they will sit down to a private meeting, which will be followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two countries.

A related announcement by the Cyprus Police states that due to the arrival of the Prime Ministers of Israel and Greece, increased security measures will be taken, while traffic will be stopped at intervals in the provinces of Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia.
