Jimmy Kimmel revealed on the first episode of his ‘Strike Force Five’ podcast that his friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon made a very generous offer when the writers’ strike began.

The five biggest hosts of late-night comedy in the USA, Stephen Colbert (Stephen Colbert), Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel), Seth Meyers (Seth Meyers), John Oliver (John Oliver) and Jimmy Fallon (Jimmy Fallon) join forces on Spotify’s new podcast in order to allocate proceeds to their show staff due to the ongoing strike in Hollywood.

So Kimmel revealed during the show that the famous duo offered to pay two weeks’ salary of everyone who worked on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.

“Ben Affleck and ‘terrible’ Matt Damon contacted me and offered to pay the staff of the show for two weeks, one week each,” he noted while adding that he decided to reject their proposal because, “I felt that it was not it was their responsibility.”

He also revealed that Ryan Reynolds has offered to give the show’s staff free service for a year from his cell phone company, which also sponsors the podcast.

The famous presenter also stated that he wanted to quit the show. “I wanted to retire around the time the strike started. And now, I realize, ‘Oh yeah, it’s nice to work.'”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the podcast will consist of 12 episodes and the five hosts will take turns hosting them.
