The discussion about changes in the government structure may be prevailing in the background of ND executives, however “the time has not arrived”, according to estimates of government sources

The “capital” restructuring is said to have opened in the government, if not officially, certainly at the background level and at the level of very closed meetings, but the question is the appropriate time, when these changes will be announced and implemented, in a charged environment , both from the devastating bad weather and from the milestones that the prime minister has in front of him, starting with his presence and speech at the TIF and his upcoming trip to New York for the UN General Assembly, or even from the upcoming municipal elections.
It may be that the discussion about changes in the government structure prevails in the background of ND executives and the feeling is widespread that the removal of Miltiadis Vavritsiotis from the Ministry of Shipping was perhaps the end of the “thread” of the corrective changes that the prime minister has in his plan , however “the time has not arrived”, according to estimates from government sources. The same sources emphasize that the prime minister is currently focusing all attention and giving the greatest weight – after the management and results of the catastrophic storm “Daniel” – to the proper functioning and efficiency of the state’s structures and the changes needed to respond to the new data. Changes and restructuring that are expected to be concreted probably during the prime minister’s speech at the TIF on Saturday night, which will take place one week late, due to the events, and according to information, the entire structure and plan of initial placement of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the productive bodies. In fact, government sources, when asked about the possibility of a reshuffle, stated “be patient until the presence of the prime minister at the TIF, because what is important is the state structures and their operation”.
Consequently, the prevailing scenario is considered that regarding the persons and the changes in the government structure, they are not expected before the appointment of the prime minister in Thessaloniki, which cancels the possible developments within the next days and as everything shows the decisions – which is the exclusive prerogative of the prime minister – are postponed until after the return of Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the USA and the UN General Assembly, i.e. after September 22nd.
The government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, in an interview on state television, repeated the message to the Council of Ministers that “everyone is judged and everyone is evaluated every day for their work and the result of their work”.
