“Alexis is my brother. And we will be brothers until the end of our lives, because together we had enough courage to “cut” these barriers between our countries and build a brotherly cooperation between Greece and North Macedonia”. The former prime minister of North Macedonia spoke with warm words Zoran Zaev for Alexis Tsiprasin an interview he gave to One Channel five years after the Prespa Agreement.

“The courage that Alexis showed to the Greek people, to the citizens of the Balkans, to the EU and to the people of the whole world, we will remember until the end of our lives and certainly, the generation before us. This was recognized by the Western world, the Western democratic world and also by the rest of the world,” he noted.

“I watched him fight even in the last election. He is very progressive, he is a very positive character and he believes in a better future for the Greek citizens but also for the EU and all the Balkans. I have been talking to him all this time, I tried to encourage him in the conference, but in democracy at the end of the day the people decide who will rule. I believe, as I told him, when one door closes, three others open. There are other opportunities on how to fight for a better life for our citizens, for progressive values, for Western values, for European values and I believe that he will find a way to continue his fight to improve the quality of life of citizens of the Greek citizens but also for the participation and improvement of all the Western Balkans. And you know, if your neighbor is good, you are good too, if your neighbor is going in the right direction, it will also have positive results for you too,” he said.
