Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis will participate in a tripartite meeting with the foreign ministers of Cyprus and Israel and a four-part meeting with the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia today, Tuesday, September 19.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will then meet with the leadership of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC), according to a related announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Cyprus, Israel and Egypt will participate in the meeting.

Mr Gerapetritis will later attend a ministerial meeting on the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court.

The Foreign Minister will also attend the opening of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, in which the Secretary-General and the President of the UN General Assembly will deliver a speech.

In the context of promoting the Greek candidacy for the position of a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2025-2026, but also with a view to promoting Greece’s bilateral relations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have meetings with his Swiss counterparts, of Somalia, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.
