Euclid Tsakalotos made his indirect support for the candidacy of Efi Ahtsioglou public, speaking of “a plan with a beginning, middle and end”. Without naming the two candidates, the former finance minister of the SYRIZA government “photographed” his preference ahead of the second round of the elections, leaving spikes – once again – against Stefanos Kasselakis.

“On the other hand, we don’t have a plan but a proposition: ‘vote for me because I can win, because I’m successful, because I’m qualified… trust me,'” he said on Facebook.

Euclid Tsakalotou’s statement in more detail:

“On Sunday, normally, the members of SYRIZA-PS would have to choose between two plans. Normally.

But what we have before us is ultimately just a plan with a beginning, middle and end.

A plan that could be discussed at a conference, where delegates could suggest subtractions, additions or modifications.

And there the necessary compositions would come out.

On the other hand, we don’t have a plan but a proposition: “vote for me because I can win, because I’m successful, because I’m qualified… trust me.”

You can’t even call it a victory strategy over a hard neoliberal Right, as expressed by the Mitsotakis government.”
