“Neither with Pavlos Polakis, nor with Nikos Pappa. My candidacy arose from the people,” said Stefanos Kasselakis
“Everyone in SYRIZA should face the reason they entered politics. What do they want to do and why do they want to stay in it.” This was stated by the candidate for the presidency of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis, speaking to ERT South Aegean, referring to the following day.
He noted that it goes beyond stabbings, but clarified that there is a line between tolerance and naivety.
“The whole system has fought me. Left and right,” he said, declaring that it is not a sign of political culture to be accused by his opposition of “murky waters” or to target voters.
“One must not be afraid to lose. I’m not afraid,” he characteristically said.
Regarding the holding of a debate, requested by Mrs. Ahtsioglou, he stated that he had requested it himself and it was not accepted.
“Now the people have spoken. In a clear way. When Ms. Ahtsioglou asked for a debate, I was in the mud, with the people who are suffering,” he emphasized, declaring that what counts is answering people’s questions.
When asked which executives he will work with after the elections and if he is influenced by Pavlos Polakis, he replied that he has no reconciliation with anyone.
“Neither with Pavlos Polakis, nor with Nikos Pappa. My candidacy arose from the people.”
To those who accuse him of keeping his political agenda hidden, he referred them to his page where it has been posted since August.
“When you ask to rule the world’s life, you must also tell it what you are going to do. It’s arrogant not to.”
