Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly with the leadership of the American Jewish organizations AJC and AIPAC.
During the meetings the Prime Minister underlined the excellent level of Greece’s relations with the USA and Israel and the prospect of further strengthening Greek-Israeli relations, which was discussed during the Prime Minister’s recent meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in Nicosia in margin of the Greece-Cyprus-Israel Tripartite Summit.
The Prime Minister also expressed his thanks for the help provided by Israel during the natural disasters that hit Greece.
They also exchanged views on international and regional issues, with an emphasis on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. The Prime Minister made special reference to the Asia-Middle East Corridor, in which Greece can be a bridge with Europe.
