Answer to the Minister of Labor of Spain on her reports on the Labor Billwhich was voted in Greece, was given by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Adonis Georgiadis, with a post on his personal social media account.

In his post, Mr. Georgiadis made a comparison between the actions of the governments of Greece and Spain and emphasized that the Greek government continues with steady steps the reforms, in order to achieve the well-being of the people.

Specifically, the Minister of Labor and Social Security stated the following:

“Yesterday, my Spanish counterpart, Yolanda Diaz, presented our new labor bill as an example to avoidYolanda Diaz is a leftist, the new “iron lady” of Podemos and it is natural that we have ideological and political differences between us.

Her mention, however, gives me the opportunity to prove to you our great ideological and political superiority with irrefutable evidence. Politics is an applied art, not a theory.

So, let’s look at some indicators in order. The course of unemployment, under Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Socialists in Greece/Spain.

In June 2019, unemployment in Greece was 17% and youth unemployment, aged 15-24, 35.5%. In July 2023, unemployment is 10.8% and youth unemployment, aged 15-24, 23.2%.

36.5% reduction in the unemployment rate and 34.6% in youth unemployment.

In Spain, now, same period: July 2023:

Unemployment: 11.6%.

Youth unemployment, aged 15-24, 27%.

May 2018:

Unemployment: 15.2%.

Youth unemployment, aged 15-24, 34.1%.

That is, we received Greece in a much worse position than Spain and, today, we are in a much better position than Spain. Dear Ms. Diaz can, if she wants, ask us for some advice on how to bring down unemployment in her country, which is now unfortunately a champion in it, but also in the economy in general, to see how we have been in these four years and how they
