These ships show the level our national defense industry has reached. With the inclusion of these ships, our navy will increase its power and capability in the Blue Homeland and strengthen its position among the powerful fleets of the world.”
Turkey simultaneously launched two high seas patrol vessels “Akhisar-Kochisar”. They have weapon systems enhancement design and capabilities.
Turkish Media: “Strengthening the fleet in the Blue Motherland – The ships have weapons systems and corvette capabilities” – Turkey also built the first corvette for the Pakistani navy.
The television network Haber Turk stated: “TCG ships Akhisar and Kochisar have the capability of autonomous action of 21 days in the seas, in the Blue Homeland. They have a landing pad for helicopters and drones. These ships are based on the design of the ADA class corvettes, but have simpler sensors and weapons. Their armament consists of a main gun of 76 mm, but the rest of the armament can be further strengthened by a corvette. They are 99 meters long, 14 meters wide and in the Blue Homeland they develop a speed of 24 knots.”
Erdogan in Azerbaijan
Erdogan went to Azerbaijan after the defeat of the Armenians in Nagosmo Karabakh. “Azerbaijan’s victory is a pride for Turkey,” said the Turkish president.
