“The Ministry of Climate Change must be abolished and replaced with a pro-government council”, said Panos Skourletis, at the beginning of his interview with ANT1 on the occasion of the consequences of the bad weather Elias in Volos.
Speaking about the harsh criticism he leveled at persons who have surrounded Stefanos Kasselakis and the new president of SYRIZA himself, Panos Skourletis said that “the characterization of old and new executives is not valid, here we are talking about political opinions. The crisis in SYRIZA is not only a ‘Kasselakis issue’.
“There had to be an in-depth account, which has the element of self-criticism and that made me and others with the same opinion a minority group” said the former SYRIZA MP, leaving clear points for Alexis Tsipras.
He pointed out that “it is wrong to say that we lost the elections because some people undermined Tsipras”.
He emphasized that “the Kasselakis case is not something that was prepared in the last 20 days. Apostolakis talks about disintegration, but I want synthesis. A few tens of thousands of people participated in the internal party elections, a satisfactory number for us, but this is not a signal of a restart.”
Panos Skourletis emphasized that “the statute was violated by placing Augeri as the party’s press representative. Tsipras never thought of doing something like this, without informing the party organs.”
“Kasselakis does not represent me as the leader of the party. SYRIZA is a modern party of the Left, according to the last congress. Tomorrow, if this changes, the data will also change”, emphasized Panos Skourletis.
