“Mr. Kasselakis has not started well. Yesterday, he managed to commit two big fouls mainly because he is irrelevant“, the Minister of Labor and Social Security Adonis Georgiadis reported to SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Avtias, regarding the statements of pr. of SYRIZA Stefanos Kasselakis on the Beu candidacy in Volos and the issue of static adequacy in the Kalatrava shelter.

“We have said that the ND is not involved in the Local Government elections. And in fact in Volos, last time a candidate supported by the ND ran and Mr. Beos ran as an independent. And if Mr. Beos is elected on Sunday, he will not be elected as ND but as Beos. So ND is not involved. When the leader of the official opposition asks the ND for something that the party has nothing to do with, because he is irrelevant,” clarified Mr. Georgiadis.

“What happened with OAKA did not happen because Mitsotakis is inconsistent with what he said, but because Mitsotakis went ahead with what he said. Does Mr. Kasselakis know how long it takes for a project to be included in public European funds, for a study to be drawn up and a tender to be held to complete the project?” he added.

Also, Mr. Georgiadis emphasized: “What happened to SYRIZA is a bit scary, it should concern all parties. In ND we have changed the statute and established that in order for a candidate leader to step down, he must be a member of the parliamentary group. We had established that the open procedures, as George Papandreou had introduced them to Greece, involved a very big risk: the one that SYRIZA has now come to. A man came who has not been to a SYRIZA fight, a gathering, a conference, he does not know the faces of SYRIZA, he has not been to the social struggles, he does not know politics. This man came from nowhere, had money, spent on tik tok spots and became party president. This won’t go far but it’s scary.

“The way the Kasselaki phenomenon is developing, it will not last long,” estimated the Minister of Labor. “He was a bit funny at first but his first steps as a captain are tragic”he added.

On the occasion of the visit of Stefanos Kasselakis to a school for the disabled, Mr. Georgiadis emphasized: “When a public figure enters, be careful of his behavior because the children may imitate him and it may be potentially dangerous. For a PWD school it becomes insulting. What is it going to show? How fit is he? It’s embarrassing, it’s infuriating.”
