“There are many derbies. Basically the three big municipalities are the ones that gather the interest and of course everything is played. Piraeus, maybe Athens will be a little easier, maybe there they will avoid the second ballots. It seems to be more difficult in Thessaloniki” said the managing director of Pulse
In a few hours the polls will open for municipal elections and George Arapoglouits CEO Pulse spoke to SKAI in the morning, presenting his estimates for the first Sunday’s polls.
“There are many derbies. Basically the three big municipalities are the ones that gather the interest and of course everything is played. Piraeus, maybe Athens will be a little easier, maybe there they will avoid the second ballots. It seems to be more difficult in Thessaloniki”.
Then referring to the battle for the regions, where the prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis ND has set a goal to make it 13 out of 13, Mr. Arapoglou said “one thing I can say from the 4 island districts is that two are easier and both will be derbies.”
For some regions on the mainland he said that “two may finish from the first round as well».
Indeed, he emphasized that the government will have to deal with some “rebels”.
“Where the map is not blue, it is most likely whitethat is, the winner should come from the ND, but no longer be supported by the party” he said.
Asked if there will be any political message from the result of the ballot box, he said yes there is always a message, either bigger or smaller.
“It will be without intense interest, but there will be some derbies and there will be some political message. When there are victories in the self-governing elections, some claim them, but in the defeats they say they were self-governing elections”he added.
