An invitation to Greek scientists abroad to be part of the effort to build a flexible and efficient health system in our country, which will have as its main goal the human being, addressed the Minister of Health Michalis Chrysochoidis announcing the opening of the Aristotle Medical Forum and the 2nd World Pan-Generational Medical Conference.

“The new health system we want to build has as its main goal, despite the big problems we have, the human being. We care about people. we care about the patient. All together we can make a great effort to make it flexible, efficient and mobile. Because it’s too cumbersome. In this effort we invite you, who live and work in different countries of the world, to be part of this whole effort. We need your knowledge and together with your Greek colleagues to really take steps forward. Our intention is not to make changes in the health system, our intention is to make a major reform” pointed out Mr. Chrysochoidis, addressing the Greek scientists participating in the conference.

The Minister of Health also pointed out that the rapid development of technology creates conditions for treatment and treatment of diseases and added that technology must become the property of the people of the entire planet, especially the most vulnerable.

He also mentioned that Greece, after a ten-year economic and social adventure, is getting back on the road to normalcy.

“For the first time after many decades we can feel safe, because we protect our borders, because we have all the necessary conditions for our defense and our security, because the country is stable and moving step by step, and much faster than Europe, towards the future and it has a great perspective, because it has room for growth, it has high growth rates, it is very attractive for investments, it attracts tens of millions of visitors every year, it is a country that every day increasingly builds democracy institutionally” he added Mr. Chrysochoidis

Regarding the field of public health, he pointed out that this is a key priority for all countries of the world and added: “Many times and every day we hear so many things mainly related to climate change, which create new and additional problems in public health and I think they will intensify as long as the people, the leaderships, the governments, the world governance do not realize the destructiveness of this phenomenon. So in Greece we decided whether to build a new system, a new public health system that aspires to meet the needs of all people”.

Mr. Chrysochoidis noted that our country was lucky enough to be financed by the Recovery Fund and thus a billion euros is available for the modernization of hospitals and health centers.

“We are moving forward with the digitization of all the country’s hospitals, the creation of the patient’s digital file, the creation of the country’s health map, the digitization of all hospital records and a care for the person and the health professionals who gave themselves for the management of Covid” added Mr. Chrysochoidis.
