The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis, will call the new Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, for a meeting tomorrow, as he pointed out in statements he made to ERT, commenting on the results of the second round of the self-governing elections.
“Tomorrow itself, I will call the new Regional Governor of Thessaly, Mr. Dimitris Kouretas, to schedule a meeting in order to cover the reasonable delays in the implementation of the region’s reconstruction program caused by the transition to a new administration. Not a single day must be lost!’ he said about it.
Commenting on the results of the self-governing elections, after initially congratulating all those elected, Mr. Avgenakis pointed out that “in 12 of the 13 Regions of the country, the regional governors have liberal characteristics, even though all the parties rallied against the government”.
And he added that “it is self-evident that our cooperation at the institutional level with all the executives of the Local Self-Government A’ and B’ degree, with the good of the citizens in mind throughout the territory”.
