“It would be good for SYRIZA, instead of continuing to be small-minded in the face of every positive news and success for the country, to do their self-criticism” says the government representative
With an announcement, the Government Spokesman, Pavlos Marinakis, commented on the statement of Stefanos Kasselakis on the upgrade of the Greek economy by Standard & Poor’s.
Credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s gave Greek bonds an investment grade late last night, upgrading them to BBB- from BB+ with a stable outlook.
“The president of SYRIZA, Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis, who a few weeks ago declared “that he knows better about finance and business”, yesterday issued another “crazy” statement trying to downplay another extremely important success of our country.
In order for SYRIZA to find “faster” – but also “his pace”, as he mentions in his post, it would be good when he returns to Greece to be informed that in the last four years, in an environment of global, consecutive crises, the country us are:
* first in rate of unemployment reduction with the creation of over 400,000 new jobs,
* consistently in the first positions in growth rate in the eurozone, for many quarters now,
* champion in the rate of reduction of its debt in terms of GDP, while,
* Achieved record direct investment.
It would be good for SYRIZA, instead of continuing to be small-minded in the face of every positive news and success for the country, to self-criticize for all the adventurous actions of their own government that led to a painful prolongation of the crisis for the Greek economy.
Greece, in the midst of the most difficult international situation, quickly recovers its lost credibility and strengthens its economy every day. The goal of the Prime Minister and the Government is to use all these successes even more for the benefit of the citizens, increasing their disposable income in order to deal with the consequences of the crises in a permanent way.
