The visit of Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis to Israel and his meeting with his counterpart B. Netanyahucommented Dimitris Manzos, responsible PASOK-KINAL department head for foreign policy, in his post.

Mr. Manzos stressed that “a strategic relationship with Israel does not mean ignoring the just historical demands of the Palestinian people. Israel’s legitimate right to defend itself against the abhorrent terrorism of Hamas and the demand for the return of hostages do not condone a blank check for a revenge war without limits and causing conditions of extreme humanitarian crisis at the expense of all Palestinians”.

The responsible head of PASOK-KINAL stated that today’s visit of the prime minister to Israel and his meeting with B. Netanyahu should be part of a coherent national strategy for the crisis in the Middle East, which will not overlook our national interests. but neither the actual situation in the field.

“Nor can, due to the crisis, the abandonment of the dialogue for a peaceful resolution on the basis of the recognition of two states in the region be tolerated” added Dimitris Manzos, noting that Greece must remain an authentic exponent and unreserved defender of international law and principles of humanity.
