“Greece, fully aware of its historical responsibility, will rephrase “NO” as an intelligent response to any attempt to question its national sovereignty and sovereign rights”, declares the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias, in his order of the day, with the occasion of the celebration of the national anniversary of October 28, 1940.

“With strong alliances and of course with the deterrent power of our Armed Forces, as a frontispiece to her actions. And always as a faithful devotee of International legality and the European Acquis, in the context of which she places her behavior”, she further points out.

At the same time he comments that “National Anniversaries, parades, holidays are useful when they function as mechanisms for projecting the Collective Standard, which gives meaning to our multi-thousand-year National presence in the Global Event”.

Mr. Dendias, since he observes that the generation of Greeks of 1940 “highlighted the National dignity, resisting beyond any correlation of forces to Fascism and Nazism”, he urges the Armed Forces officers “inspired by the example of October 28, 1940, to continue resolutely to carry out your duties, based on our ideals and traditions.

The Greek people are looking to you. He knows that you are the guardians of every end of the Greek land and supporters of society in every difficulty”concludes the Minister of National Defense in his agenda.
