In our country’s effort to send humanitarian aid to Gazaas soon as possible, mentioned the Minister of Health Michalis Chrysochoidis, in the context of a debate in the Plenary of the Parliament of a bill for the establishment of Advanced Care Units for strokes.

In the presence of the ambassador of Palestine, Youssef Dorkhom in the seats of state officials, Mr. Chrysochoidis said that there is cooperation with the UN and other countries, to see how Greek humanitarian aid will be sent to Gaza and to ensure that it reaches those who have greater need as soon as possible.

In his intervention, Mr. Chrysochoidis said that there must be, not just humanitarian corridors, but also humanitarian pauses, i.e. the cessation of military operations in order to support the civilians of Gaza. As he said, the images broadcast by the media, from Gaza, are terrible, inhumane.

The Parliament cannot remain unmoved and inactive in the drama of the Palestinians, had said earlier, the president of Freedom of Navigation Zoe Konstantopoulou, who had met in her office in the Parliament with Mr. Dorkhom. Mrs. Konstantopoulou, who referred to the problems faced by the attacks on hospitals, nursing staff and ambulances in Gaza, advocated a humanitarian corridor to Gaza, to which – as she said – Freedom Sailing will contribute.

She also said “clearly” that her party will always stand with peace, with the victims, with Palestine and its people, with civilians and children, and expects the government to say, not which side it is on but whether he will change sides and come with the people’s side.
