Stefanos Kasselakis once again asked Euclid Tsakalotos and Peti Perkas to hand over their parliamentary seats.

In his statements to Mega, the President of SYRIZA pointed out: “A code of conduct they hadn’t agreed upon? The statute says they must surrender their seat. Obviously the statute only applies when it suits everyone. I don’t understand why someone who calls himself a leftist reacts to direct democracy.”

Referring to the infamous phone call to Efi Ahtsioglou, Mr Kasselakis said he called her to “extend a hand of friendship”. He added that “600,000 votes were lost in abstention and some people should take this for granted. I want a governing modern left”.

On the subject of the flag and the militarization of the islands, he said: “Of course we are in favor of raising the flag. We want a solid defense. Our islands should not be demilitarized.”

“There is a need from the people to speak in simple words and to provide solutions. Our party with social foundations will become the government. It is not possible for one person to make it a ruling party in two months. He needs patience because he laughs best who laughs last” he added.

As for his vs Adonis Georgiadis he emphasized that he lacks empathy and that if he had been prime minister he would have asked him for his resignation.

Stefanos Kasselakis also mentioned that “I want to have good guys in my team. Good people. There is no tight circle. Let’s get to work… Apparently the party had pathologies.”

In question about the Polytechnic he said: “These struggles, this resistance, must be the compass of our politics.”

He ended up saying? “We must have big investments in housing, in the environment, in the issue of poverty and of course also in rights. What interests me are the needs of the Greek people. At the moment there is an austere right-wing government. My leftist policy is clear. I don’t want the Greek to need a slap to go forward.”
