After 12 days of captivity, the father of Luis Dias, who had been kidnapped by the criminal organization “ELN” on a street in Barakas, was released by his captors last Thursday (09/11). Thus came an end to the thriller of the family, but also of the whole of Colombia.
Both the police and the army of the country made titanic efforts on investigations and them negotiations with the kidnappers, with the story thankfully having a positive ending for the Liverpool midfielder’s family.
On the occasion of the interruption of the championships due to national teams, Luis Dias was in Colombia to be included in his national team for the World Cup qualifiers, while at the same time he had the opportunity to see his father up close for the first time after this nightmarish adventure.
As you can see in the images below, published by the Colombian Football Federation, the two men had a very powerful and moving momentwith the Liverpool ace missing out on the his father’s arms!
