From the Indian side, present at the meeting were the Commercial Attaché, Nirmesh Kumar, and the second Secretary of the Embassy, Rajendran Samykannu.
During the meeting, Ms. Gerekou referred to the long cultural tradition of the two countries, which can be the focal point of their cooperation, both in the cultural and in the tourism sector. At the same time, he developed the role of EOT and the current communication strategy of promoting Greece, while he also pointed out the possibilities that our country now offers for film tourism, in a large film market, such as the Indian one.
The representatives of the Embassy of India referred to the spirit of good cooperation between the two states, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and the contacts he had, both with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, and with the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, while at the same time presenting the four main axes of tourism promotion of India, such as architecture, gastronomy, medical tourism and film tourism (Bollywood).
The two sides pledged to further strengthen the tourism relations between the two countries, defining as a first step the holding of an event-information, which will be attended by representatives of the business community from Greece and India.
