The draft law of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance “Organizational and procedural provisions for development, interventions to strengthen the just development transition and other urgent provisions” was voted by majority. New Democracy declared in favor of the principle of the bill. The opposition unanimously voted against.

Many individual provisions, however, secured positive votes from the opposition parties. SYRIZA voted “yes” on 45 articles. PASOK voted “yes” on 46 articles. The KKE voted “yes” on 7 articles. The New Left voted “yes” on 38 articles. Free Sailing voted “yes” on 21 articles. The Hellenic Solution voted “yes” on 8 articles. The “Spartans” voted “yes” on 24 articles. In many articles the opposition parties have declared “present”. “Niki” is the only party that voted against both the articles and the amendments.

During the discussion of the bill both in the relevant parliamentary committee and in the Plenary, the opposition parties had labeled the bill – a broom. They had, however, clarified that they would vote “yes” to provisions that move towards improvement, even if they do not provide a definitive solution to outstanding issues.
