“The government’s attempt to highlight a supposedly reform agenda falls on deaf ears,” say sources from SYRIZA, according to which “no matter how much it tries to move the debate to issues such as the establishment of private universities and postal voting, the government’s reality is characterized from three words: Lies, traps, dangers”.

And they continue:

“Repeated and blatant lies to the citizens that the government is supposedly interested in dealing with accuracy and profiteering. The accuracy is gnawing at the income of households and businesses as confirmed by the official figures of the Bank of Greece, according to which last November the deposits of households and private non-profit institutions fell by 156 million euros, against a decrease of 100 million euros in last month!

The so-called tax relief government is slapping freelancers with an extra 4% increase in their contributions after their recent tax hike.

At the same time, the government turns a blind eye to the blatant profiteering and unfair practices prevailing in the market. The latest example is baby milk which is sold in our country up to 213% more expensive than in other European countries!

Pitfalls resulting from the continuous shifting of government responsibilities to the individual responsibility of citizens. Citizens are trying to find an edge with colored electricity tariffs, at the same time that the super profits of the providers remain unassailable.

Dangers arising from the irresponsibility and frivolity of government officials’ statements on critical national issues. Or is it a hidden agenda of Mitsotakis? Dangers arising from the complete collapse of the state apparatus and the inability to ensure even the supreme right of citizens to life and security.

The only thing that is certain is that no one can sleep peacefully with this government. SYRIZA – PS is here as a reliable progressive and patriotic force of responsibility to put a brake on the plans of the Mitsotakis government”.
