The Prime Minister reiterated his growing concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and underlined that Greece supports Egypt’s efforts for the safe and immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilian population.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his assessment of Egypt’s constructive attitude to resolve the Middle East crisis.
The two leaders expressed their concern over the growing tension on the Israel-Lebanon border.
They also discussed Egypt-EU relations, the strengthening of which Greece supports, since, as the Prime Minister pointed out, Egypt is a pillar of stability in the wider region.
