“At a time when the Turkish Minister of Defense does not hesitate to repeat the contrary to international law, revisionist narrative about “Blue Homeland”, the last thing Greece needs are ambiguous statements, such as the recent ones of Mr. Syrigos” he states in his post on X State Member of Parliament, Parliamentary Representative of PASOK Dimitris Manzos.

“It should be clear to everyone, and especially to ND MPs, that their public positions can be exploited by the Turkish side for the purpose of promoting its ahistorical and illegal grievances,” notes Mr. Manzos.

Dimitris Mantzou’s post on X

“At a time when the Turkish Minister of Defense does not hesitate to repeat the contrary to international law, revisionist narrative about “Blue Homeland”, the last thing Greece needs are ambiguous statements, like the recent ones of Mr. Syrigos. It should be clear to everyone, and especially to ND MPs, that their public positions can be exploited by the Turkish side in order to promote its ahistorical and illegal grievances. The euphoria created in the Government by the “Athens Declaration” does not justify actions and statements with ignorance of danger. Greek-Turkish relations do not improve with wishful thinking and academic analyses, but with the practical application of the rules of international law and the law of the sea, with a spirit of good neighborliness and the abandonment of revisionist rhetoric on the part of Turkey”.
