Turkey reinstates the Turkish-Libyan memorandum and announces investigations with Libya.
As broadcast from Istanbul by Manolis Kostidis, Alparslan Bayraktar, Turkey’s Minister of Energy, said: “Our activities in the energy sector have gained great importance, especially with the agreement on the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction in 2019. Last year, we established a legal framework for cooperation with a memorandum of understanding in the field of hydrocarbons. As part of our maritime jurisdiction agreement, we want to operate in Libyan waters. We stated that through our own ships we can achieve much more economical, efficient and faster results. In the coming period, in a very short period of time we will send a team here.”
CNN TURK TV reported: “The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, participated in the Energy and Economy Summit held in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. The minister stated that Libya has great potential and reserves of oil and natural gas and emphasizes that ‘in this matter we are ready to cooperate with many countries and we have the intention’. The minister stated ‘we want to act in the maritime areas of Libya. We emphasized that with our own ships we can operate more economically and efficiently.”

On the “palace kebab” menu
The mayor of Istanbul said: “This crowd shows that we offer a good service. But on the other hand, this makes us sad. As there is such a need. This shows how the poor economic management of the government has brought us to these levels of impoverishment. This country does not deserve poverty.”
Turkish citizens stated: “My students have come and tell me it’s good that these restaurants have opened, as they say we are ashamed to ask our parents for pocket money. But we pay 250 pounds for such a small piece of cheese… but what do they say? For such a small piece of cheese.”
The FOX HABER network reported: “The £40 menu is mostly preferred by students and pensioners and that’s why there are these queues outside the restaurants. Hot soup, a dish of food with meat and pilaf. While water and bread are free. The students enjoyed this menu.”
Imamoglu added: “Now they will tell me that today’s menu is a message. As it is called ‘the kebab of the palace’! You should know that I always put a little more.”
