N. Androulakis reiterated the proposals of PASOK-Movement for Change to strengthen the National Health System and spoke with the medical and nursing staff
Nikos Androulakis started a two-day tour of Ilia and Achaia and in the early afternoon he visited the “Andreas Papandreou” Tower hospital.
“We have the second highest private health costs in Europe” the president of PASOK-Change Movement said in his statements adding that “this message must be taken seriously by the government by implementing policies that support the NHS. We prioritize the regeneration of the National Health System”.
Mr. Androulakis reiterated the proposals of PASOK-Movement for Change to strengthen the National Health System and spoke with the medical and nursing staff.
“You cannot say that you want to deal with demographics, but that baby milk is sold at three times the price of other European countries and that we do not have a strong social state in the Greek region: good public schools, good public hospitals, primary health care and, of course, low cost of living” he concluded in his statements.
Earlier, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, who met with the mayor of Pyrgos, Stathis Kanni, pointed out that it is a priority for the prefecture of Ilia to complete the major road project in its entirety. “There cannot be a connecting axis of Amaliada with this great project. It cannot go all the way to Olympia,” said Mr. Androulakis about the Patra-Pyrgos highway under construction.
The president of PASOK-Movement of Change also referred to the significant reduction in direct aid payments to farmers for 2023. “The costs today for farmers are enormous due to the responsibilities of four ministers of the New Democracy and five presidents of OPEKEPE,” said Mr. Androulakis.
Finally, referring to the elections in KEDE, Mr. Androulakis emphasized that he hopes “there will be a strong progressive voice, which will send a clear message to Mr. Mitsotakis that we need self-government according to European standards, with transparency, meritocracy, and dialogue.”
