In an atmosphere of tension, the debate in parliament on the postal vote continues, after the submission of the amendment by the Ministry of the Interior for the extension of the postal election to the national elections for expatriates.

The speech of the president of the Hellenic Solution in the Plenary Session of the Parliament and his criticism of the postal vote, triggered the strong reaction of the deputy minister of the interior, Theodoris Livaniou, reminding him that both 2019 and 2021 were in favor of the letter, howeverhe made a 180-degree U-turn after the very low percentage his party received among out-of-state voters.

“In 2019 you agreed, in 2021 again, in 2023 you disagreed why? Three numbers: 0.94% that’s who you are, that’s what you care about,” argued the deputy minister. “Who we are is proven by one thing, by the fact that you agree that the dead and vampires vote and we only the Greeks” answered the president of the Hellenic Solution with Mr. Livano retorting “because here we don’t sell Byzantine, if you have a complaint that he has voted dead, do it”.
“You prefer to say things in the air”continued the deputy minister, with Kyriakos Velopoulos answering him “I left Andrea Papandreou’s PASOK at the age of 22. You left for a chair, I left a chair.”
