In a personal confession about Crohn’s diseasewith which he was diagnosed about 2 years ago, as a result of which, as he said, changed his life, continued the government representative, Pavlos Marinakisspeaking to Grigoris Arnautoglou.

After explaining that it’s an “autoimmune, life-changing thing” he said that “99% of it came from stress”.

Explaining how he learned that he suffers from this disease, Mr. Marinakis recounted that “the history of the diagnosis begins when he was elected secretary of the ND about 2 years ago and something. At that time, my wife contracted the coronavirus. While I test negative, I have a fever every afternoon. I have been the secretary of the ND for 2-3 weeks and every afternoon I had a fever of 37.5 which in the evening fell. I had blood tests which indicated that I should do other tests, fearing that it might be something else, some kind of malignancy.”

“When I had the endoscopy and came out, I walked into the doctor’s office and he told me I had Crohn’s disease. I tell him “perfect”, almost glad. The doctor lost it, he said “it’s serious, you live with it, but you’ve taken it too easy”. I told him “I want to live” and asked him “will I die from this?”. He said no and explained that you have to adjust your life. “Since I’m not going to die, I’m happy,” I told the doctor., added the government spokesman.

Concluding on the adventure with his health, Pavlos Marinakis emphasized that “The first message is to get tested and not be afraid to have a taboo to talk about it. The second is that this all changed my way of thinking, I relaxed in a lot, I stopped having absolutes”.
