The first goal of the government’s second four-year term is for the citizens to see the big projects, which we took from models and found financing, become reality”emphasized, among others, the deputy minister to the prime minister and government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, speaking tonight in Aigios, during an event of the municipal local organization of the ND.

“The second most important” he continued, “is everyday life” and added: “Let’s not forget that the biggest demand of the Greek citizen is the problems of everyday life. That is, better hospitals, better schools, more police presence throughout Greece and solving the problems, with accuracy first”.

Speaking about accuracy, he said that “we will not hide our words, because we cannot press a button and disappear an accuracy that is all over Europe” and added: “We cannot suddenly, hospitals for which he had not dealt nobody for decades, to make them change day by day. But, what we said and are in our program, we will put into practice. We cannot do less. We will do what we said and sometimes more.”

In fact, as he characteristically mentioned at this point, “our priorities are to support households and businesses for precision and imported crises, with an emphasis on families with children.”

“Second priority”, he said, is “health, the staffing of the hospitals, meeting the needs, while, as he noted, “within a few weeks the new Minister of Health will announce important initiatives”.

At another point in his speech, Pavlos Marinakis mentioned that “in a few weeks, one of the most emblematic bills will be passed in the Parliament” and continued: “A bill that will enable public universities to receive a total of 1 billion euros and many more freedoms and to Greek students not to go abroad necessarily, if they do not want to study at the public university”.

At the same time, he emphasized that “we have certainly been hurt by the image of some universities being under occupation, but it will not pass them” and added: “Firstly, the bill will pass, secondly it will not pass them and the examination papers will be ensured in any way. Thirdly, as happened at the National Technical University of Athens, now, whenever the authorities are called, the police will intervene and those who commit any illegal act, as happens in a hospital, on a street, in a neighborhood, will go to the Justice and the Justice will judge them.”

Afterwards, Pavlos Marinakis made special reference to the demographics, saying that “after all, it is the biggest problem of Greece” and added: “All the initiatives that the government has taken so far were only the beginning, because we have to support the Greek family , the parents, the children, to give strength to the new mother to the new father. This is the biggest goal and it is a horizontal policy, because beyond the Ministry of Family and Equality, it is practically the responsibility of all ministries”.

Finally, addressing the gathered, Pavlos Marinakis emphasized that “we the New Democrats were not, nor will we ever be, arrogant” and continued: “We do not wave the election result and show it off, because alas if we did this especially in times of so many imported crises. We certainly rejoice with every success, we celebrate our victories, we are together both in the easy and the difficult.”
