A US senator is attempting to block the sale of F-16s to Turkey, suggesting that the fighters not be sold.

The matter will be voted on in the Senate.

Turkish sources are reassuring and comment that “our interlocutor in the case is the US government”, reports Manolis Kostidis from Istanbul.

Hakan Çoban, correspondent of Anatoli agency in Washington: “Rad Paul’s proposal should first be voted on in the Senate to be accepted with a 2/3 majority.
