Visits to agricultural blocks throughout the country is carried out by political leadership of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food emphasizing that only through dialogue are problems resolved which the rural world is faced with.

The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis, during a visit to the block of Neos Monastiri Domokos, called on the farmers to form a 20-member delegation and come to a dialogue on the issues they raise, having the roads open.

“People are insecure and anxious about the next day. And we are here, by order of the Prime Minister, to put our backs with all our strength. We know very well what they are going through, it is not easy what is happening, but they are not alone”, said Mr. Avgenakis, among other things.

The Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Dionysis Stamenitis, was in Almyros Volos and Larissa, where he held meetings with farmers’ representatives. The intention of the government and the leadership of HYPAAT to continue the dialogue with open avenues in order to find realistic solutions was emphasized.

Speaking about the KAP, Mr. Stamenitis pointed out that the ministry recognizes that there are problems and for this reason the submission of specific proposals has proceeded immediately, while it is also in close cooperation with its counterparts in the 9 countries of the South in order for the requests to be expressed collectively.

The Deputy Minister of Agricultural Development and Food, Stavros Keletsis, met with representatives of farmers, livestock breeders, poultry farmers and beekeepers of Thessaly.

According to him, the Ministry’s dialogue doors with farmers are always open. “We have never stopped communication and dialogue with them. And so we will continue. In the Ministry we work hard every day to solve the problems that concern the country’s agricultural world” he said in this regard.
