Yesterday, Stefanos Kasselakis gave answers about the off shore company Osios LLC that he has in the state of Dalware, in Miami, via Twitter.

This is a company that is housed in a skyscraper and from whose funds came the 230,000 euros that the president of SYRIZA gave as a loan at the end of December, to pay the salaries of Left Media journalists.

In his post, Stefanos Kasselakis “explained” that he is not a member of parliament and did not know that he too must submit references – an obligation that the parliamentary leaders of the parties have, however.

“As far as the law concerns me, I will sell the companies I have abroad”, the president of SYRIZA explains to X.

According to Professor of Constitutional Law Kostas Chrysogonos in “Dekatians”, in the case of Stefanos Kasselakis there is incompatible in his capacity.

Article 8 of law 3213 of 2003, as amended in June 2016, states that is prohibited to MPs – MEPs but also to leaders of parties represented in the Parliament and the European Parliament, to have shares or all the property of a foreign company.

In this case, prison sentences of 2-5 years and a fine of up to 500,000 euros are foreseen.
