The book, Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries, will be released in English and Spanish on September 17, 2014 by Feiwel & Friends of the Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group
The book, illustrated by Abby Bryant, centers on a girl named Desi who is afraid of monsters under her bed. However, her mother helps her overcome night terrors and bedtime problems.
“Desi, Mami & the Never-Ending Worries” is a love letter to my children and yours. Learning how to train our brain to work for us and not against us is easier said than done! In my house and at Desi’s, we try to deal with the endless worries and anxieties that we all have so that these negative thoughts don’t take over,” the actress said.
“I am very excited to share this personal story with you,” she added.
The publisher says that Mendes has written a fun and educational story of a mother and daughter who work together to finally fall asleep, and that readers will be able to form a picture of the family life of Eva Mendes and her husband , starring Ryan Gosling.
