“Our thoughts are with the people who left, with the relatives of the victims, with those who survived this crime. Unfortunately, one year later, instead of having more answers, we have more question marks and it is imperative that justice be served”, said SYRIZA PG member Kostas Zachariadis on the occasion of the completion of one year since the accident in Tempe on SKAI and the program ATARIASTOI

“I don’t want to get into a partisan confrontation process, already the relatives of the victims and the survivors are taking matters into their own hands to claim the acceleration of the justice process,” he added.

“I personally and SYRIZA will help to shed a lot of light on this tragedy that happened a year ago”

“One year later in Greece we don’t have modern rail transport and this is the most chilling thing of all”, said Mr. Zachariadis.

“Our crush, our psychological weight must be firmly next to and in memory of the people who lost their lives 57 very young people but also next to the people who have developed post-traumatic disorders and the families who will never be the same.”

Regarding SYRIZA and the latest developments, Mr. Zachariadis emphasized that “we must focus on the problems of society in the next 100 days”

“Always the congresses of all parties have tensions, we will all be evaluated by the result,” he said

“Our goal is for Mr. Mitsotakis and not Mr. Kasselakis to be judged in the European elections”

“Mr. Kasselakis is not a president under a deadline”, he clarified and emphasized that “our goal is for Mr. Mitsotakis to be elected in the European elections and not Mr. Kasselakis”

“The arrogance of the 41% is ending, there is a social pressure which at the ballot box must be translated into social delegitimization and the next day the strong SYRIZA will take initiatives to regroup the wider space. All the social conditions and conditions are met to have a result that is close to the result of the National elections, I recognize the difficulties we have gone through and I set the bar at a height of 17% and to be the second party”.
