“Accuracy is the number one problem for citizens. Dealing with it is a priority. I wish there was an easy recipe. We are trying with measures, which are taken constantly, to bring down inflation, to keep the prices as long as we can, especially in food which we see are still persistent”, he told SKAI and the show “Kalimera”, with Giorgos Autias, director of the office of the Prime Minister Dimitris Tsiodras.

“We are trying to increase the income of citizens by increasing wages, increasing pensions, special allowances for the vulnerable categories. We also took measures with an effort to correct the structural weaknesses of the economy. Accuracy concerns both the prime minister and the government on a permanent basis. We are trying, we are taking measures and the checks will continue so that the citizen can finally see that the problem is being addressed,” he added.

Regarding the family support measures, Mr. Tsiodras noted that “they are being implemented in a quick phase. A package of demographic and family measures is being prepared and will be presented in the coming months. Support package to deal with the demographic”.

Referring to the tragedy of Tempi, Mr. Tsiodras emphasized: “From the first moment, Mr. Karamanlis assumed political responsibility and resigned. Beyond that, there is the issue of criminal liability. Justice, in one year, has moved, regarding its data, quickly. Already, the preliminary investigation is at a very advanced stage and we are ready to go to trial. This, based on the rhythms of justice, does not mean delay”.

“It is a shame for the opposition to engage in a political grave-digging operation over the pain of the people,” added Mr. Tsiodras, emphasizing that “besides the issue of remote control there are also personal responsibilities for someone or someone who sent the train across the street at the other”.

On the occasion of yesterday’s statements by former SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras, the director of the Prime Minister’s office said: “Mr. Tsipras said a mea culpa in relation to the issue of Novartis and the TV licenses. The mea culpa for Novartis means that it will have to apologize to some people, who were hanged on the pegs. Ten political figures were dragged along for a long time, without absolutely anything emerging.”

“TV licenses were one of Mr. Tsipras’ key narratives. Mr. Tsipras has undone the basic narrative that brought him to power,” he added.
